[about] Short Description

Ines Omann, born in 1972, studied Environmental Systems Sciences and Economics in Graz and Lund (Sweden) and did her Ph D in Ecological Economics in Graz and the University of Leeds (UK). From 1997-98 she was a research fellow at the Institute of Technology and Regional Policy, Joanneum Research, Graz, Austria and in 1999 at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy in Germany. Since 1998 she is a lecturer in macro-economics, ecological economics, and introductory MCDA at the University of Graz and since 2006 Sustainable Development at the University of Applied Life Sciences and Natural Resources in Vienna. She joined SERI as a researcher in 2004. General focal points of research are sustainability science, participation, integrated sustainability assessment including multi-criteria approaches, scenario development, social dimension, quality of life.
