Born 1967 in Heidelberg, subsequently (a little later) studies in economics, first at the University of Kiel (1988-90), then at the Technical University of Karlsruhe (1990-96).
1996 to 1998 freelancer at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy.
1991 to 1998 volunteer at the children´s rights organisation terre des hommes.
Since beginning of 1999 housewife, subsidiary job PhD-student.

1991 we got our son Janik, 1999 our daughter Kensia Bellevie. In the beginning of 1999 we moved from our house in Karlsruhe-Durlach (Germany) to Palo Alto (California).

Favourite Occupations

Time spent with my family (we love hiking), reading (preferably British literature), moving (biking, swimming, volleyball) and restoring our old villa together with our friends.

  • ecological economics, especially material flows in economic models
  • sustainable development, especially sustainable consumption from a macroeconomic perspective
